1) Volunteer as a CASA
A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a volunteer who is a positive and supportive person to a child in the Santa Clara County foster care system. Child Advocates of Silicon Valley is a member of the National CASA organization, a network of nearly 1,000 local community programs supporting children in the foster care system who have experienced abuse and neglect.
Stand up for a child today. Your advocacy gives foster children a voice. Every month we hold a volunteer Info Session for people interested in learning more about becoming a CASA Volunteer. Learn more about what CASAs do or reading stories by our CASA volunteers and their advocate children on our blog.
2) Attend Our Events
- Attend Wine, Women, and Shoes at Villa Montalvo (10/8)
- Run in the 32nd Annual ThetaBreakers Run/Walk (10/15)
If you find you can’t volunteer now as a CASA, don’t worry. Every year, Child Advocates holds a Spring Event and a Golf Tournament to raise funds for our programs. We also hold a free yearly breakfast event where your friends, family members and/or colleagues can attend to learn more about our work in the community. If you would like to volunteer to help at any of our special events, send us an email at: email@example.com.
